1. What is magnetic fluid
Magnetic fluid (also known as ferrofluid or magnetic fluid) is a brown-black liquid magnet, which is formed by uniformly suspending ultrafine magnetic particles with a diameter of about 10 nanometers in a synthetic oil carrier.

2. A brief history of ferrofluids
Magnetic fluid was mysterious when it came out, and it was once classified as a highly secret. After solid-fuel rocket technology matured and replaced liquid rockets, ferrofluid technology was lifted. Several scientists involved in the research of the project obtained special permission and established the Magnetic Fluid Company in 1968 to continue developing the civilian technology of magnetic fluid. After more than 30 years of development, today's magnetic fluid has been widely used in the manufacturing of quality ip horn speakers as well as stepping motors, large power transformers, audio and video tape manufacturing, computer hard disk and floppy disk manufacturing and so on.

3. The effect of magnetic fluid
Adding a certain amount of magnetic fluid to the gap formed by the T iron and the washer of the quality ip horn speaker will significantly improve the speaker's withstand power and prolong the speaker's life. In general, the power of a speaker is limited by the heat resistance of the voice coil. The greater the power, the greater the heat generated, causing the voice coil temperature to rise sharply. When the limit of the voice coil material is reached, the voice coil will be burned. The thermal conductivity of the magnetic fluid is much larger than that of the air, which can effectively dissipate the heat energy into the air through the T iron, the washer and the basin frame, thereby preventing the voice coil from being burned and delaying the aging of the voice coil material and adhesive. Improve frequency response characteristics and reduce distortion. The ferrofluid has a certain damping property, and the loudspeaker will have a peak on the frequency response curve near its lowest resonance frequency (f0), which will cause distortion due to the excessive amplitude of the diaphragm. This is a flaw that quality ip horn speaker makers hope to overcome. Using the damping effect of the appropriate viscosity of the magnetic fluid on the movement of the voice coil, the frequency response curve of the speaker at f0 can be smoothed. Thus, the frequency response characteristics are improved, which is beneficial to simplify the design of the frequency divider circuit. The magnetic fluid has a central positioning function, which can prevent the rubbing phenomenon of the voice coil when the amplitude is large.
