SIP PA system is very popular at the marketplaces recently, is it the trend of public address system?

I ever found IP PA system at school, which adopts TCP/IP network protocol to page and play background music. Besides, every IP terminal is independent and they have separate IP address under LAN conditions.

If we need to page the IP PA system, I originally thought that we have to put multiple terminals in different classrooms and then page each terminal as needed. Fortunately, I saw a manufacturer named OBT at Germany CEBIT show, whose SIP PA system solved this problem for me successfully.
